Hello apple community,
reccently I stumbled upon a tiktok trend that is about this number. You write it as if you would call a new number. Typing in ”*”, ”#”, ”2”, ”1”, ”*”. Then you dial it. Instead of calling the number there is a list that shows up on the screen. The list consist of a variety of settings that are either disabled or enabled. What does this all mean? Please someone answer this because the rumours of it revealing that your phone is tapped is not pleasing.
with dear regards,
Elliot

It's actually *#21#
All that code does is tells you if call forwarding is on or off. There's a whole bunch of things you can do with these secret "codes." they are harmless as your phone isn't being "tapped." They are simply giving you the status of things on your device.

Even though that short code may be harmless, there have been a few that have caused problems. Do not do something just because you've seen it on social media!
And no, your phone has not been tapped.
